Count Tool

Use the Count tool to tally individual items on your drawing.

Shortcut C

Steps

1. Press C, or choose New Takeoff > New Count on the toolbar. Counting starts immediately under an auto-generated name (e.g. "Count 1").
2. Click on each item in the drawing to place a count marker.
3. Each click adds one to the running total, shown in the takeoff list.
4. When finished, press Escape or switch to another tool to stop counting.

Notes

• •Stopping a count keeps every marker and the running total.
• •Delete individual markers by selecting them with the Select tool and pressing Delete.
