Pan Tool

Use the Pan tool to click and drag the drawing canvas to navigate around your floor plan. You can also pan without switching tools by holding Space or right-click dragging.

Steps

1. Press P or H, or click the hand icon on the toolbar.
2. Click and drag anywhere on the canvas to move the view.
3. Alternatively, hold Space to pan temporarily, even in the middle of drawing a shape. Release Space to return to your tool; the shape you were drawing is kept.
4. Right-click and drag to pan, regardless of which tool is active.

Notes

• •Use the scroll wheel or pinch gesture to zoom in and out.
• •Press Cmd/Ctrl + 0 or Home to fit the entire plan to your screen.
• •Arrow keys also pan the view. Hold Shift + arrow keys to pan 5x faster.
• •Pan is the default tool. Clicking a count marker selects it and keeps Pan; clicking a line, linear, or area selects it and switches to the Select tool so you can reshape it.
