AI Glazing Detection
The AI detects glazing (windows, curtain walls, storefronts) on your floor plan.
Steps
- Detected glazing elements appear as highlighted segments on the drawing.
- The glazing takeoff shows total linear footage in the takeoff list.
- Glazing is taken off in linear feet only. To break it out by type (storefront, interior glass, sidelites), select those glazing pieces and use Reclassify to move them into their own takeoff (see Reclassifying Takeoffs).
Notes
- •Glazing includes windows, sliding glass doors, curtain walls, and storefronts.
- •The AI distinguishes glazing from solid walls based on the drawing symbology (parallel lines, cross-hatching, etc.).
- •You can edit or delete individual glazing detections after the AI run.
