Walls by Type

Split the detected wall footage into one line per partition type, read from the sheet's wall tags or wall legend.

Steps

1. Open the Auto Takeoff (lightning bolt) menu, click Wall LF, and choose Walls by type. (Walls only and All Takeoffs give a single Walls total instead.)
2. Or, if walls are already detected, click the By type button on the Walls row in the Takeoffs tab. Yanno reuses the detected walls when it can.
3. Allow about a minute longer than a plain wall run.
4. Results appear in a Walls group under Auto Takeoffs, whose header shows the total LF. Each type gets its own row and color (for example "Type P1").
5. Walls that could not be matched to a type go in an amber "Untyped" row at the end. Review them, and use Reclassify to move pieces into the right type.

Notes

• •If the sheet has no wall tags or legend, you keep a single Walls total. The By type button tells you "No wall-type tags or legend found on this sheet."
• •Each wall-type row has its own "Include door openings (+3' per door leaf)" checkbox.
