Measurement Properties

Customize the appearance and name of your takeoff measurements: change colors, fill, opacity, and rename takeoffs.

Steps

1. Click a takeoff in the Takeoffs tab (left sidebar). The Measure panel opens on the right edge of the screen.
2. Rename the takeoff in the "Name" field.
3. Click "Border Color" to change the outline color (labeled "Color" for count takeoffs). Count takeoffs also have a "Symbol" picker: check, X, or dot.
4. For area takeoffs, click "Fill Color" to change the interior fill.
5. Adjust opacity: areas have "Fill Opacity" and "Border Opacity" sliders, lines and linears have one "Opacity" slider, and counts have none.

Notes

• •Style changes apply immediately on the drawing, in the sidebar color chips, and in any legends.
• •Selecting a takeoff also re-arms measuring so you can keep adding to it. Click "Finish Measuring" when done. Escape also finishes, but while the takeoff is highlighted on the drawing, the first Escape only clears the highlight.
• •You can also rename inline from the takeoff row's hover menu.
• •The Assembly dropdown in the same panel prices the takeoff from your price book (see Applying an Assembly to a Takeoff).
