Reclassifying Takeoffs

Move multiple measurements of the same type into a single takeoff, e.g. to pull a few AI-detected walls out into their own item.

Steps

1. Select the measurements you want to move: click one, Shift + click to add more, or drag a box around them with the Select tool.
2. Right-click the selection and choose "Reclassify N from ..." (one entry per source takeoff; AI rooms share one "Rooms" entry), or click the "Reclassify" button at the top right of the drawing and pick a group from its list. The button appears whenever measurements are selected.
3. A panel opens on the right: type a name for a new takeoff, or pick an existing takeoff from the dropdown. If you pick an existing takeoff, the panel shows its settings and the moved measurements take them on.
4. Click Save. The measurements move under the chosen takeoff.

Notes

• •You can only reclassify into a takeoff of a matching type: areas with areas, counts with counts, and lines or linears with lines or linears.
• •The target takeoff shows the combined total (total SF for areas, total LF for lines, total count for counts).
• •The individual measurements are preserved: you can still see and edit each one on the drawing.
• •A source takeoff left with nothing in it is removed automatically. To combine whole takeoffs, Shift + click or Cmd/Ctrl + click two or more takeoffs of the same type in the Takeoffs list, then click Reclassify in the bar that appears.
