Pricing a Worksheet Row

Each worksheet row is priced through its Labor, Material, Equipment, and Subcontract components, and each component can be charged a different way.

Steps

  1. Click a row's Labor, Material, Equipment, or Subcontract cell to add that component to the breakdown under the row. Click the arrow beside the row name to add all four at once.
  2. In the breakdown, pick how each component is priced: the Per option for the row's unit (such as Per Sq Ft) uses the row quantity after waste, Per Qty uses its own quantity and unit (for example 40 hr or 2 ea), and Lump sum is a flat amount.
  3. Enter the rate in the $ field. The cell shows the component's cost, with the math underneath (for example "40 hr × $85/hr").
  4. Click the cell again (it shows a check) or the minus at the left of its breakdown line to close that component's editor.

Notes

  • •Until you change them, Labor is priced Per Qty in hours, Material per row unit, Equipment Per Qty in each, and Subcontract as a Lump sum. Enter hours for Labor, or a quantity for Equipment, or those costs stay at $0.
  • •Closing a component's editor does not remove its cost. To remove a cost, set its rate to 0.
  • •Rates are entered in the breakdown; the cells show the result.
  • •The row's Multiplier applies to all four components.
  • •Each component is rounded to the cent, and the row total is their sum.
